Model A1660

Good afternoon,

My name is Viktoriia Shutii. I live in Bishkek Kyrgyzstan. Here I bought my apple 7 in 2016. Now I have a problem, the phone can not see my SIM card. I went to the technical center and they said me, that Model A1660 was defective. Do I have any option with my phone?

Is the SIM card installed the right way around? I have older phones that work fine.
