how to hide a password on ipad

I had to change my password for a website yesterday, but when I looked in my settings / passwords there on view is my email address and underneath is my password. And at the bottom it says the name of the website to which my password applies, what do I do about this ? Thanks in advance for your time.

Assuming that you were examining the stored Passwords from Settings > Passwords, depending upon your iPad model - you will have authenticated using FaceID, TouchID or your Passcode before the stored passwords were revealed.

All your stored Passwords are stored in your Keychain - this information being encrypted. Until you unlock the Keychain, neither you nor anyone else can see the stored passwords. Since your FaceID or TouchID is unique to you - and you will of course not tell anyone your Passcode - nobody else can see your saved Passwords.
