No split keyboard on iPad Air 11in 2020

I am deeply upset that the new iPad Air 11 inch joins the iPad Pro and no o8nger has the split keyboard available.

I stuck with an older 10.5 inch iPad Pro because of this. I am really not happy thst they took away this useful feature.... some of us still use these items as a portable device, not as a computer replacement.

does anyone know a way to get back the split keyboard? The banana split keyboard app is awful and that is the only way o can find.

Apple, for reasons known only to them, have not included the Split Keyboard feature on any 11” or 12.9” model of iPad Pro - or the new 10.9” iPad Air. The feature restriction is explicitly listed in both the online and downloadable iPad User Guides.

The Split Keyboard is only available on iPad models with a screen of 10.5” or less. However, all models of iPad that support iPadOS14 feature the new Floating Keyboard:

Apple does not provide a method to split the keyboard on the 2020 iPad Air.
