How do I remove an old AppleTV from the Home app?

I’m looking for help. I recently plugged in an old AppleTV to wipe it and pass it on. It is no longer in my possession. Unfortunately it shows up in every Home app (Mac, iPad, iPhone, wife’s iPad etc) as a “can’t connect” device in the status (but no tile to actually click on). It is listed as “disconnected” in the ‘hubs’ list. I’ve already tried the solution of looking at the list of iCloud connected devices (on mine, my wife’s and my son’s account) and removing it, but the status message is still there. Any other ideas? I know it doesn’t really affect the function of my home (or life), but I’m a bit OCD and it annoys me. Assistance gratefully received!

Hello Stephen Connor,

It sounds like you may be trying to remove an Apple TV from your HomeKit.

Here are some resources that can help:

Set up your HomePod, Apple TV, or iPad as a home hub As "HomePod and Apple TV automatically set up as home hubs" you can "Remove a device from the list" on your Apple ID by following Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in

Hope this information helps.

Have a good day.
