I took my iPad to Best Buy they reset it and now they linked an iCloud account to my iPad that I have never seen and I cannot activate my iPad

I took my iPad to Best Buy to be reset because it kept saying connect to iTunes and they reset the iPad. However, when I went to activate it they had linked it to another iCloud account. I tried to take it back to them but they were no help. I am the original owner there has been no other owners.

Hi krysten49,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with your iPad that is in Activation Lock with another Apple ID.

You can read about that here: Activation Lock for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

You can of course continue to work with Best Buy towards a solution, but if they don't have the Apple ID password or don't know whose account it belongs to they would not be able properly restore your iPad.

Since you are the original owner, please visit Get Support.

Have a fantastic day!
