For some reason, all of a sudden, when I compose a message to another iPhone user, when I go to the text box, I see this voice memo symbol next to it and not the blue arrow. How can I get the blue arrow back next to the text box?

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with the send arrow.
The screen you see allows you to send Audio Messages: Send photo, video or audio messages on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support
Until you add text or a picture into that box, you will have the option to send audio messages. The send arrow will show once you add something other than audio in the box.
