Lost PDFs stored in Books after upgrade

I recently updated my iPad from 11.x to 14.1 and lost all my stored PDFs in Books. The folders are all there, but they are all empty. I backed it up to iTunes on my PC before the upgrade and and restored it from iTunes after the upgrade.
