ios14 dropping microphone on XR

Has anyone heard anything new on the issue with ios14 which disables microphones? Its on the net and even in Apple communities but I haven't figured out how to post in that thread. My understanding is that Apple hasn't yet confirmed the issue but posts suggest they are working on it. Apple has asked me to upload files.

I wish I could go back to the safety of ios13.

If you are working with Apple, then stay with them. You cannot downgrade to iOS 13, Apple does not support downgrading and never has.

Yes they seem very earnest. Very frustrating though. You hear about this sort of thing but until it happens to you... I cant replace it with a new phone because I would still be getting I0S14. The mic is important.
