Opening links in Apps

Since the newest software update, links that I click on are opening in Safari rather than their respective apps (i.e. Amazon links, YouTube videos, etc). Any tips on what I need to do to fix this? It is happening with all apps. The ones that I care about the most, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and cleared my browser history without an success.

Hi there, RebeccaLewis62.

It appears that links you receive are opening in Safari instead of the applications they should open in. Good job on the troubleshooting you've tried, and we're glad to help with this.

If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open - Apple Support -- Since you posted in Mac OS & System Software / Safari, this would be expected behavior. If you're using an iOS device instead, this article provides the steps to use when a third-party application isn't working as it should. If you reach step 5, we recommend contacting the developer to see if there's a setting in their application for this.

Take care.
