Windows on PCIe second internal drive: Mac Pro 7.1

Hello,

I have a Mac Pro 7.1and I'm looking to add Windows for a few programs. I was planning to pick up a NVME PCIe card w/ NVME disk to boot Windows using this strategy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IhW722IMwE). However, I've seen some older threads suggesting that Windows will not boot on non-primary internal drives. Is this still an issue, or will I likely succeed if I follow the same instructions linked for an external USB drive install? Thank you!
