"Workday Inc. will automatically configure your iPad." I get this message when I factory-reset.

"Workday Inc. will automatically configure your iPad." (iPad is old iPad 6 I think.) I get this message when I factory-reset. I called Workday, Inc. They said factory resetting should totally get rid of Workday and any Workday apps. This is a used iPad and someone must've used it for work or something. I've tried factory resetting multiple times. It gets past the 'choose your language' screen and the choose your wifi network, then I get the "Workday Inc. will automatically configure your iPad." It doesn't configure anything; it just sits there. There's an option to log in to Workday, but since I don't have a Workday user name or PW, it won't work. And.... there's no prompt that says, "Have you forgotten your password?" Nothing. Thanks for any ideas!

Hello thecitychicken,

We understand you're looking to completely reset your iPad to factory settings, so you can set it up for yourself, but are encountering a message related to how the iPad was used previously, is that right?

Are you completing the factory reset by connecting the iPad to a computer as described, here: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

If so, are you able to access settings on the device after completing the reset? Or does the message you're seeing prevent access?

If you are able to access Settings, do you see a profile installed in Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management?

We look forward to hearing back from you!
