IOS Files App ghost share removal

In my Files app on my Iphone, I notice that there is a Shared Documents under Locations in Browse. Under the Shared Documents folder, I notice that I have 4 files shared. There is no indication who the files were shared with. Can't delete those shares/files. The files originally seem to be from OneDrive. I have search my OneDrive and found the files were deleted long ago and have been removed from OneDrive Recycle Bin. In the IOS Files app, I can't open the shares or open the file as it does not exist in OneDrive. I can't seem to remove these shares. I can select one of them with a Delete option but it error out stating the files does not exist. Others when selected does not have Delete option. No swipe to delete option as well.

I have uninstalled both ISO Files all as well as OneDrive app, rebooted and reinstall just File and the shares are still there. These shares are not in iCloud.

How do I get rid of these shares?

I fixed it somehow!! (see pic below)

Make sure that your onedrive shared folder is completly empty on the webversion. Go to your files app on Iphone and go to your locations, press the 3 dots with circel at top right, press edit, deselect the onedrive location, press done.

Now both the onedrive folder and shared documents are gone, press the 3 dots again, select the onedrive location.

Now there shouldnt be a shared document folder anymore. Let me know if this worked.

Same problem here, I have some shared files from years ago in that folder. Deleted the folders from onedrive on my PC. Still seeing them in my files app of my Iphone. No idea how to get rid of those files and folders...??!!

AND when I try to delete a file in the shared folder, I get a pop-up that says "File cant be deleted because it does not exist", like wtf??!!

Thanks Streba. Tried the steps but the ghost files still there. No shares on OneDrive. I have even uninstall OneDrive upon reinstallation, OneDrive icon appeared back to its previous location. Shared Document folder still have those few files there. Those files were not in OneDrive. Seem like uninstallation did not get rid of cached info. How do one delete any cache info on an iphone? From the date of the files, it would have been there before I upgraded to Iphone 11 Pro max back in Feb 2020. It would have been carried over from my Iphone X.

Thanks for the tip. I only have OneDrive. I followed the instructions. When I toggle off OneDrive, the Share d Document folder disappear and Done. Close all apps. Restarted the phone. Went back into Files app and toggle OneDrive back on and the Shared Documents reappear together with the ghost files. I did ensured in OneDrive web there isn't any shared folders or files. Once Once Drive is installed back on the phone, the Shared folder reappear and so are the ghost files.

Hence asking the question if iphone has any cache that need to be cleared and how to clear the cache.
