iPhone 12 Pro iOS 14.2, why does call blocking no longer work?

Just recently, callers previously blocked, now are able to get through.

why is this so?

This did not happen with my iPhone X.

Thank you Jen77

i have further researched the new iOS and found in the settings

“ Silence unknown callers”

and

“ Call blocking and identification”

as well as the blocked caller list

by swirching on the first and playing with the other I think I have recovered to my original status as I have had problems since.

I will add further if any other adjustments are found to be needed.

regards and thanks

Hello, tmno2!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you have an issue with contacts you've blocked no longer being blocked on your device.

Since you just recently updated, let's have you check for and install any carrier updates: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad

Do you have any call filtering apps installed on your device? If so, remove the apps, restart the device and try again.

Let us know the results and have a terrific day!
