Lost central screen touch sensitivity IPad 2

My Ipad2 software version 14.2 has lost touch sensitivity in the centre of the screen. This can be clearly seen in this screen shot on a sketching app. can anyone make some suggestions on restoring this sensitivity or alternatively what options I might have for getting it repaired.

If a forced restart of your iPad does not resolve the problem, you might be best advised to take your iPad along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians can assess and test your iPad for a screen hardware fault.

To force-restart your iPad:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
