Hello.
There needs to be a salute emoji. It's such a universal gesture. I've seen censorship of the handgun emoji and other weapons, but no, having a salute emoji will not lead to a rise in militarism. A salute emoji would simply be handy and cool, and I would use it in so many scenarios. You have like ten different train emojis. There are several emojis which are never touched by 90% of iPhone users, so why not a salute?
Apple has nothing to do with the creation of Emoji. The Unicode Consortium creates Emoji standards.

One's already being considered by the Unicode Consortium. Wait until 2022.
