If I delete 600 photos from my iphone, will this effect my icloud storage?

Will I have to wait 40 days to see the effect on my icloud storage?

If those photos were stored in iCloud, then yes, it will reduce your iCloud storage to some degree. You shouldn't have to wait 40 days to see any effects. You may also wish to review the following to further help in culling your storage - Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support.

Thanks for the response.

I want the photos I deleted from my phone to also delete from iCloud; however, the photos remain in two places:

a. On iCloud

b. In my iPhone recently deleted folder

Will the photos be gone from both places in 40 days?

i just did toggle Photos off then on under Settings > Name > iCloud > Photos.

Separate question:  If I delete photos off my iphone, the photos go into my iPhone’s  “recently deleted” photos folder. This is true.

When are the photos supposed to deleted from iCloud:

    a. Immediately

    b. Or after the iPhone “recently deleted” photos folder is empty.

Thanks for working with me.

Today I checked my web browser's iCloud account, and in Library>Recently Deleted file there are now 600 photos.

Also, my storage on iCloud reflects a 2GB change.

And when I just now deleted an iPhone photo, and synced with iCloud, the photo deleted from iCloud's Library>photos into the Library>Recently Deleted file.
