Apple does it ask for Social Security number? Can’t get into my email

I got an email from Apple but it does not have the right apple.com behind it. Does Apple ask for a Social Security? I cannot get into my email through outlook. Can you help me have I been hacked? I did not put my Social Security in and I changed my password right after it on Sunday. I am visually impaired and it is very difficult for me to do this. I cannot delete any of my email please help. Visually impaired

Did the e-mail address you with your Full Name?

If not it's 100% scam send by criminals

Scam e-mail starts with Dear Client, Dear Customer, Dear your-e-mail-address, Dear Apple User, or something similar.

Apple will never, ever ask any for their social security number. It is of no use to them at all. They could not even verify if the number you give is actually yours and nothing linked to your Apple accounts includes your SSN, so they couldn’t use it for anything. They will also never, ever ask you for your AppleID password.

Yes your answer helped. I reported it to Apple. It looks so much like an Apple email. This is nuts the scammers need to get a job. Thank you for your help
