imessage showing on watch but not phone

I just upgraded to the iPhone 12. Ever since, a couple of times a day, an imessage will show up on my watch, but not my phone. It doesn't happen every time. I still get most messages, but on occasion, I don't get it on my phone. Any ideas? Or anyone else experiencing something similar?

No notification sound/alert for Messages Running IOS 16.2 here on iPhone 14 Plus. If the screen is off, I am not getting any messages notification sounds/alerts. The messages do show up in notification center and lock screen but with my screen off, I have missed a ton of SMS and iMessage ones because my phone did not ring and also my Apple Watch did not notify me, so same behaviour on Apple Watch. I did file a report on bug report but curious if anyone has had this. I remember on the previous iOS 16 there were no issues like this.

WhatsApp not showing on watch iOS 16.1.1 WhatsApp messages are no longer appearing on my series 3watch. All Notifications setting as are on and all software is up to date. Have also done hard reset.

Screen Time Request Issues Since the new IOS update 16.0 ive noticed issues with responding to the screen time request on both my phone and apple watch. Both are updated but now I only receive screen time requests via text message, when before I would get a notification in the banner. Previously I could push and hold the notification (on both my phone or apple watch) and it would pop up the option to approve 15minutes, 1 hour, all day or decline. Now on my apple watch i get the notification as a text message and am unable to approve or deny the request, the message says i need to go to messages on phone or mac to answer. I have not changed my settings on neither watch nor phone. Even on my phone i only get the request notifications via text, they no longer pop up in the banner as an actual notification to approve it. How can I fix this?? I dont want to keep getting text for the screen time requests, and I want to be able to once again approve request from my watch.
