Can I migrate from data from my mac mini with differant

Can I migrate from data from my mac mini with differant OS ? My old mac mini late 2012 is not upgradable to the latetest OS.

Yes you can migrate from an earlier macOS. However it is best to migrate from your old Mac's Time Machine backup instead of over Ethernet or Wi-Fi. A direct Ethernet connection is slow and Wi-Fi almost always fails complete the migration.
