My order says Shipment Delayed for iPhone 12 Pro Max

When I check my order status it says "Shipment Delayed". I ordered Friday November 6th when it was available to order online, and it has always said that the estimated delivery date would be 13 November and it also says "Preparing to ship." Should I be worried it will arrive late? Anybody going through the same?

I received an email confirmation for my original order to be delivered today November 25. after opening up the Apple app I noticed that there was a return order made with a return number that I did not create. I called Apple support and was told that a large number of phones have been missed placed and Apple‘s way of making the correction was issuing out a new phone and automatically producing a return order. I told the Apple representative that I was showing a credit to my account he explained to me that he did not see a credit on his side and that I should monitor the billing statement. I have a new estimated delivery date of December 30. Crossing my fingers.

I ordered through AT&T on 10/25. It was originally due to arrive 11/16-11/24 but on 11/24 it shifted and said 12/16-12/24. It actually did ship and arrived last Thursday 12/17.

My understanding (right or wrong) is that the 12 Pro in Pacific Blue in the larger 512GB was the hold up. A LOT of people ordered it. It took awhile but it did finally make it without a second delay (which I began to fully expect).

Well, we are all other users here from around the world; we do not work for Apple. And, we are volunteers and do not get paid by Apple.


If you feel that pointing out the current situation and its continuing consequences is sarcastic, that is your opinion. I had posted the only answer we can give almost a month ago. Asking other users again and again about Apple's policies on shipping, billing, or any other corporate decisions is not helpful - we do not know the answer.

Blaming anyone at this point is not productive. Some countries have closed/locked down their borders - no one in or out. Due to the pandemic spike, some stores have closed or reduced access. Things are bad everywhere. If it were me, I would not order anything right now unless it was an emergency. I'd wait until things settle down and become a bit more "normal" again.
