Boot Camp, Mac Pro 2019

There does not seem to be a whole lot of info on running Boot Camp (Windows 10) on the new 2019 Mac Pro. So I'll post here to see if anyone here has some experience.

I'll cover the "Why would I?" first. Because I have a iMac Pro and a PC right now. I would really like replace both with one box that has enough power for both.

It appears that Boot Camp and booting to Windows 10 is supported by Apple on the newest Mac Pro. (correct?)

Are there any issues that I could avoid, by slecting a particular configuration?

Do any of the AMD graphics cards work better, or worse than another?

I'm considering Two Pro W5700X cards to drive two 4K displays.

Will Boot Camp work if I dedicate one of the two interal SSD drives to Boot Camp? Rather than creating a partition on the SSD drive running Mac OS. I like the idea of keeping things isolated.

Are there any issues running Boot Camp with the T2 security chip on the SSD drives?

Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Depends on the specs of the new computer. I.ve been running Windows 10 in Boot Camp for years without issue. I find that Windows runs as well as it does on a Windows PC with similar specs.

It is not supported on the newest Macs with the M1 chip.

The system requirements are listed in the link I provided above.

Windows installed with Boot Camp needs to be installed on the internal main MacOS drive or it won't work. Read the info at the link I provided.

Follow the instructions at the link I provided. Windows will run as well as it does on a Windows PC with similar hardware specs. Don't try to install Windows on other than the main drive. Make a system backup before proceeding with the install. Do not use Disk Utility to partition the drive. Make sure you allocate a large enough partition, 256 GB minimum, because you can not resize after installation of Windows.

Thanks.
