I have recently tried to update my MacBook Pro to Big Sur, but it says "An error occurred while installing the selected updates." I keep trying to update it, but I can't even download the update. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 13 inch. Solutions would be helpful.

I have the same problem with the same error but with my MacBook Air 2020
Same with my MacBook Air 2017
Disk utility shows I only have 31GB free when I need 35Gb. I don't know what to do.
You could try freeing up more space

At some point, yes it will be fixed. For now, there is nothing users can do but wait. Do note, that even with the issue fixed there will be thousands of people trying to download the same huge file.
