Changing clip duration

Lets imagine that I have 15 clips on my timeline all next to each other. Is there a way I can tell final cut I want them to be a specific duration (LENGHT) without having to go to each one individually and changing the length individually. FOr instance lets say they are all different lengths and I would like all to be precisely 2 sec.

Thank you for you time

Thank you for your answers

I have used the duration option in the past for graphics and it works fine, and I sometimes use it for video but only for a single clip.

This is the first time I had a practical use for changing the duration of several clips simultaneously.

It still gives me an assortment of times it only works if all the clips are the same length to beging with, then I can change it to different lengths but if I have different lengths when I try to use the duration option it gives me a variety of lengths.

Not a big deal, dont expect to ever have to use that again.. Thanks

Hi -
I believe it will work for video but only in a very restricted way - the video clips you are going to modify must all start with the same duration.

So if you had edited 10 clips to the timeline with a duration of 3 seconds each, then wanted to modify that to 1 second each, you can select all the clips and use the "control-click select duration" method to modify them to a new duration.

If you have edited clips to the timeline, each with a unique duration and try to use that method to modify the clips to a single uniform duration, +it won't work.+ You'll end up with a hodge-podge of durations.
