Anyone have any solutions? And, yes, have tried all the "cleat NVRAM, boot into Safe mode, check disk etc and yes, have plenty of space

Same problem here in Belgium. According to Apple's System Status it has been a problem since 7 P.M. . I guess Apple is trying to investigate this now, so I think it's best to try again later today or tomorrow.
Im having the same issue, seems like apple servers may be overloaded.
My only recommendation would be to try again tomorrow or later
Big Sur install - So far, all I get is an error "unable to install"...and a lot of noise on the web about issues.
