how do i remove tfw from my phone
TFW means tracfone wireless and it is your carrier name on your iphone.
i put a sim card in an old iphone 8 plus to see if it would work. so i tried it, turned it off and put it back on to see if it could take the sim card but all i could see was tfw on the phone and i tried again but it wouldnt take it unless i take off the tfw and i dont know how

Besides you trying to "take off the tfw" what exactly are you trying to do?
