TFW means tracfone wireless and it is your carrier name on your iphone.

i put a sim card in an old iphone 8 plus to see if it would work. so i tried it, turned it off and put it back on to see if it could take the sim card but all i could see was tfw on the phone and i tried again but it wouldnt take it unless i take off the tfw and i dont know how

If you are trying to activate an iPhone with tracfone and are experiencing a problem, then you need to contact them. With a tracfone SIM in the device, it is going to display that carrier if it activated properly. I'm sorry, but your explanation is rather vague. Besides you trying to "take off the tfw" what exactly are you trying to do?

First off, what is tfw? Would need to know that first before being able to see about removing it. Please explain what you are trying to do and what happens when you try.
