Why do I have a blank "window" on startup.

When my Mac Pro running the latest version of Catalina, now Big Sur, starts up, I have a blank gray window with the title "Window." Any ideas what is happening or how to get rid of it?

Mac Pro, macOS 11.0

Greetings DSimon21,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems you have a blank window that appears when logging into your macOS user account.

Temporarily remove the login items that start when you log into your macOS account:

Open items automatically when you log in on Mac - Apple Support

If the behavior persists, test while your Mac is started in safe mode:

Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

Kind regards.
