I do use an iPhone 8 and software version 14.1. This issue was also there prior to the update.
I am certain that the issue has started with a syncing. However all syncs for contacts are removed and still when receiving a call for one of my contacts is says:
Contact (name) or 2 others.
Any way to get this removed?

Contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other

I do have 4 accounts but only one is marked for the contacts and that is my company email address which is the default.
Still persisting issue. If I remove the company mail address the contacts will be deleted?
and then I should be able to use the iCloud instead?
