Big Sur transparency

Updated to Big Sur, but menu bar, Dock, all Finder, Safari (other windows) are not transparent, just white/grey. Any ideas?

Memiehic is correct. that setting is in SystemPreferences>Accessibility in the "display" tab. i didn't change the desktop image for the 2 following screenshots.

here's one with "reduce transparency" unchecked.

here's the screen with the exact same background and "reduce transparency" checked.

if you look below the clock in both screenshots, you can see it's the same background. if "reduce transparency" is

checkmarked in your settings and the menu bar isn't grey, you may have a separate issue.

here's a couple more screenshots to show you that the menubar should stay grey when you change colour of the background.

have fun.

Actually there is no complete transparent dock or menu bar in big Sur , its just translucent dock and menu bar I guess you were actually looking for that dock in dark mode

yes the dock in dark mode is a little different and more transparent looking compared to dock in light mode so try

System preferences>>general>>Dark in appearance section

and if this is what you wanted then you can opt for another light wallpaper to keep it the way you wanted however the application theme would be set to dark itself

hope this was helpful.... ☺️
