Sorry, I gave misinformation. I actually do have many books from Audible.com, but of course they are spoken word books. I also have many books in eReader format and also from Amazon for their Kindle app. But I am wondering if they can be imported into iBooks?

Thanks and sorry for the confusion in the first question.

I have several (over 70) .epub books in iBooks. All except one are free from places like Project Gutenburg. The one paid book was downloaded from the iBooks store. All of the free ones were sync'd into the iPhone using iTunes.

Kindle books use Amazon's DRM which is not usable on Stanza or iBooks even if they were to be in .epub format and out of the 90 or so books I have on the Kindle app none are in .epub format, all are in the standard Kindle format. All were downloaded from the Kindle store and about 60 of them were free but I suspect they still have DRM attached to them.

All of my audio books are accessible via the iPod function, but not through iBooks. I don't believe iBooks plays audio books. iTunes syncs them into the iPod area. I have never purchased or otherwise acquired any Audible.com books so I don't know if they can be read by the iPod app but I doubt it. Audible is an Amazon company and there is an Audible app for the iPhone.
