make room. How then do i delete its 12 gig download?

i know now. you just search for it
and find the icon. check it by get info
and then trash it. brilliant.
and see Niel below. i didn't think
to look for an installer in applications.
thanks Niel.

Delete Install Big Sur
How do I get rid of Big Sur download
I can't find the installer!
I did this and removed it from my trash as well but the storage hasn't gone back up. Is there anything I need to do?
I just did the same thing and I experienced the same thing the storage did not go all the way back up. I only gained about 2 gigs, yet the installer was 12 gigs. Did you ever figure out anything?
I have this same problem. The installer took up 12 gigs, and after deleting, I only got 3 back. Does anyone know where the partially installed packages/dmgs/icons are?
Same problem... I deleted Big Sur download successfully but lost my storage.
Has anyone found out how to delete what ever extras are taking up the gigs?
i wish I had never bought a Mac
Choose Applications from the Finder's Go menu, locate the installer, and throw it away.
