Apple Pencil 1st gen not working properly

My Apple Pencil (1st gen) doesn’t work fully on Procreate. Up until downloading the app I never noticed anything wrong with my pen, worked on all other apps. But on some of the brush settings on Procreate the pencil doesn’t work. I’ve changed the nib to see if that would work but it still doesn’t. It’s a 6th gen (2018) iPad if that makes a difference.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it? Or do I need a new pencil?
