I cant install my printer after the 11.01 macos Big Sur

Apple decided to make the laser printer Samsung CLP 360 series dysfunctional over a night. No drivers provided for this model that can work with macos Big Sur anymore. In HP they admit that they are unable to find drivers for my product https://support.hp.com/ie-en/drivers/selfservice/samsung-clp-360-color-laser-printer-series/17156859

CLP-360_Series_Mac_PrinterDriver_V5.02.00 were working fine with macos X 10.15 during the installation through Bonjour. But now they are not available anymore. I installed them by myself but the system can't detect them. So the printer is not working.

Any kind of help it will be more than welcome.

It finally worked on my MacBook Air M1! I had to first install Samsung printer drivers for Catalina from Apple, but it's not enough. One needs to manually copy several folders and files from an older computer where the printer already works (ML-1630W in my case) from /Library/Printers/Samsung/ and /Library/Printers/PPDs/ that are not in the same path as the newer Catalina drivers AND at the same time correct the owners and permissions (I used BatchMod to go faster). For the correct path you can, on the older Mac, uncompress /Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources/name_of_your_printer.gz, then open the file in a raw text editor and see what are the paths that differ from the newer Catalina driver, and copy these files at the right place on your M1 Mac (I used Airdrop to go faster). You need to first open permissions and propagate them to included items, otherwise files won't copy properly. Then reassign correct owner & permissions on the target Mac. It eventually worked, but what a mess!

Catalina, Big Sur. It seems Big Sur is a continuation of Catalina. Same problem. Except this time the Printer will not be recognized,

Agreed. Whether or not Apple and HP didn't communicate these changes they should take into consideration that millions of Mac users NEED TO PRINT.

VikingOSX your response is about as helpful and empathetic as fraudulent bot preying on an old lady to give up her pension. If you cannot offer a solution on these boards I recommend you abstain from further comments. For the good of the troubleshooting community.

Trash is empty. When start up trash has recovered (empty) files in the trash?. Photos quit?. Catalina "Bugs" continued into Big Sur.

Other Big Sur issues also. We are Mac people for Fifteen (15) years. Apples core is becoming rotten and WE ARE SHARE HOLDERS too. Fix the problems. Cook has more than enough money, software experts. We will not purchase a new Mac Pro at this time

($6,000.00 + Tax) Big Sur prevents this. HELP! fix Safari! maybe Apple should have our computers manufactured in our country

Thank you VERY much for this info. I was able to get the package, install it, and I've now printed with Big Sur 11.4 using the CLP-320 printer. Prior to reading this advice, I was using an old macOS Mojave Mid-2015 MacBookPro to print via printer sharing. It was pretty tedious.

So thanks very much for taking the time to write the solution.
