Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive on new iPad Air 4

Hello to everyone,

i'd like to know if it is possible to use the Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive Type C on iPad Air 4, especially for watching videos. I know that the drive is compatible with iPad Pro but i don't know if it does work on the new iPad Air.

Thank you

Hi there Teo1086,

It sounds like you would like to know if a particular external storage device would work with the new iPad Air (4th generation). We’d like to help however we can.

To start, this has more information about connecting external devices to an iPad:

Connect external devices or servers with Files on iPad

To get the best answer about the compatibility of this specific device and the iPad Air (4th generation), we would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the drive here:

SanDisk - Contact Us

Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns in the future.

Cheers!

Hello Brian,

thanks for your help. Unfortunately I tried to use a Sandisk iXpand (Lightning) with USB-C adapter included, but I can’t play videos because the relating Sandisk app doesn’t work. I can see the drive on app File but I can’t play videos. Maybe the new iPad Air still doesn’t support the reading of some devices trough adapter.

Anyway thank you...
