How to completely delete google drive from ipad or iOs 14

I purchased 3 iPhones, 2 iPads, and an Apple Watch, simply because there was nothing integrated or allowed of anything created by the Google corp. on any of my devices.

I just discovered that on the iPad, there is now a selection available for using Google Drive, (in the same location as selecting iCloud Drive), on the left side of the screen, in the Files icon. I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANYTHING FROM GOOGLE ON ANYTHING I OWN!!!

I hope that everyone understands that if I want something made by Google on any device I own, I will put it there. I will NOT be forced to have this privacy-violating garbage on my devices. I chose Apple for the reasons of having my choice of whether or not to allow those freaks of nature anywhere into my devices, and I will NOT have Apple making decisions for me by including it in the OS.

I want to remove this option completely, not just click on the 3 lines and remove its visibility, I WANT THIS OFF OF MY iPad! Who in this world thought it was a good idea to allow software from Google on an Apple device, or let alone include it in the OS? Are you kidding me?

Did you happen to install the Google Drive app on the device and login to it? On my iPad, all I see in Files are iCloud Drive, On My iPad, and Recently Deleted.

Update and Resolution:

After speaking to Apple Technical Support, it was learned that the app for Google Drive was downloaded and installed at some time, some years ago, and just forgotten about, as it was discovered on the last page of apps, WITHOUT the words, "Google Drive" identifying the app, but the regular logo identifying it, and it was because of this that the app option was incorporated in the sidebar listings within "Files".

I deleted the app and it was immediately removed as an option for saving locations within Files.

Take care and be well.

Hello Zinacef,

Thank you for your reply. No, I’ve never downloaded or installed any junk from Google, as I mentioned, I want them as far from my life and devices as possible, so therefore, I wouldn’t do anything foolish such as deliberately or even accidentally install their garbage on any Apple or Linux device that I own. After I read all of the bellying up to law enforcement as they do, I deleted my account with them and now deal only with encrypted apps and programs.

If you open "Files", then on the left side of the screen at the top, there is the circle with the 3 dots in it, click on that, select "Edit Sidebar", you will see the option to place Google Drive in the sidebar. This is what I want completely removed. I checked my iPhone for the same option and it doesn't seem to be accessible, but it is on my iPad.
