Can the thief restore iphone 6 to factory setting using iTunes after I erased my iPhone6 using find iPhone?

Don't remove the device from your Apple ID / iCloud Account

If you remove the device from your account after you erase it, Activation Lock will be turned off. This allows another person to turn on and use your device.
