Can anyone please tell me is SIM free version different from unlocked version? Apple is currently selling SIM free versions in USA, will the SIM free version work fine in India? I have checked specs for both the countries, they share same band for 5G/LTE.
Should I wait for Apple to sale unlocked versions?
If I bought iPhone from USA will the warranty get void if used in another country like India?
There is no separate Unlocked version. The SIM Free version is the Unlocked version.

If you buy the iPhone in US and then use it in India then warranty will not be void HOWEVER the US Warranty will not be honored in India. You will have to bring the iPhone in to US to be serviced under warranty.

Thank you Axel Foley for your time. Can you please also tell does model number will make any issue?
I gather apple provides international warranty for a year, will that be useful in case problem arises with the iPhone while I am in India? (Except breakage)
