My watch reboots random, is this a HW or SW issue?

My watch serie 5 reboots random and I wonder if this is a HW or SW related. It is something I noticed not before so I think it can be related to the new sw. Does anybody know?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities Sleijkert,

We see that you're having an issue with your Apple Watch restarting unexpectedly. We know that it is important to have your Apple Watch working properly, and we'd be happy to isolate this issue with you.

Let's start by having you restart the Apple Watch and the iPhone that it is paired with, then test to see if the issue remains.

How to restart your Apple Watch

Restart your iPhone

If the issue remains, unpair your Apple Watch and then test again.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

If the issue persists after going through these steps, respond back with the answers to the following questions.

  1. Are you running the latest version of software on both devices?
  2. When the Apple Watch restarts, does it fully restart or does it get stuck on the Apple logo?
  3. Has there been any physical or liquid damage to the watch that you're aware of?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Unfortunately is the problem not solved by those steps.

I'm running the following software: watchOS 7.1 and iOS 14.2, both are up to date.

I'm very careful with my watch and there is no physical or liquid damage.

What happened is: I pushed the digital crown and selected an app by pushing the button. After several time the Apple logo popped up and remains there for at least 10 seconds. Then every thing went back to normal.

Please reply to help me to solve this issue.
