I checked some configurations. Problem occurs when case is on or phone just does not have any connection with your hand. Removing from case helps. Putting finger on camera module when in case helps also... which is uncomfortable but solves the problem on the go. Problem does not exist also when phone is connected via cable or just lying on wireless charger. Screen protector is not the problem.

Hi, I noticed as well as yourself and MANY others, the same touch problem on my Mini ! I was getting very upset as I couldn’t swipe up nor could I swipe across the answer bar on an incoming call, or any of the necessary touch type needs .. then I called Apple and rep ran diagnostics and checked my settings and all 100% okay. I didn’t want to reset to factory and try a few days after activating it as new phone b4 bringing in my info again from ICLOUD .. then return phone if still a problem, etc, so had her give me my case # should I decide to call back and put the phone through all that. Apple claims to not have any info on this problem.

So in thinking about the big changes in this years Mini by size (for all the internals) and the change of the glass material of the screen this year, plus my glass protector on top to protect the screen, plus my clear case also on the phone, as talking to a relative who also got the Mini and noticed the touch, as he suggested, try just using as light a touch as you can for any of those instances and guess what, THEY ALL RESPOND perfectly!!

Seriously, it may take a few times before you get your touch re-adjusted, but not one problem since and I’m ecstatic to be back in love with my Mini.

Hope you adjust!
