I just moved to the iphone mini and tried to connect my Sony headphones WH-100xm2. My iphone mini is not finding them when I tap on Bluetooth . I have turned off an on the new phone, turned off an on bluetooth. I disconnected the bluetooth connection with my iphone 8 so there would be no interference but that didn't make a difference. I have placed the phone and headphones close together.
No luck. Other suggestions

I press the "ON" button on my Sony WH-CH510 Wireless On-Ear Headphones for at least 7 seconds, it will say Bluetooth pairing.
You will then be able to find your Sony Headphone device on your iPhone (I am using iphone12 mini). Done. Goodluck!

I had to delete the Headphone Connect App and then request it from the App Store again. Once I followed the set up steps with the “new” app it worked perfectly.
I loaded the Sony Headphone Connect app onto the new mini. Opened the app and it “registered” the headphones with the mini and connected it through Bluetooth. Yay!
