Beware the SIM card tool

Packaged with my new 12 Pro Max was a SIM card tool that proceeded to cut my right thumb wide open when applying pressure to open the card slot. Now I have a bandage on my thumb and am unable to truly enjoy my new phone. Why? Because the phone won’t recognize my thumb swipes with the bandage on.
