Wiping my external SSD.
Gone into Recovery Mode and formatted and currently installing Catalina again.
When it comes to transferring data ( apps, user accounts etc ) from my clone is it best to do this during the recovery mode or wait until you have booted up and then select migration assistant from the Utilities folder and do it then ?
Does it make any difference ?

That isn't what I asked.
I know how to repair in disk utility even though it is not required here.
I know how to reinstall macOS as I'm in the middle of it.
