Downloading apps to new iPhone 12 Pro Max from my backup is not happening

I fixed my own. Logged out of my account and logged back in. Then I rebooted the phone. Once I was back to the home screen, everything downloaded lickity split!

I was able to fix it by right clicking on one of the apps and selecting “prioritize download”. This seemed to stop whatever was holding it up and everything flowed from there.

Had same problem, waiting for 24 hours with all apps stuck in 7 o’ clock position. Holding down the app and clicking on Prioritze download worked!

I had the same issue! The suggestion of clicking on “prioritize download” was great, except I had to pause all of the apps that appeared to be stalled and do it one at a time. This sucked but it worked and they downloaded pretty quickly afterwards. I hope this helps for anyone.

Hi Aquiles775 - apologies, my frustration was not with your suggestion, more that there doesn't seem to be clear guidance from Apple over what appears to be a common issue. As per my previously amended comment above, in the end, having tried the suggestions re: soft reset, logging in/out of accounts etc. restarting, pausing/unpausing and the many other suggestions that have worked for some, I reset the network settings and then manually re-configured. Always useful, I find, to hold back on judgement until properly understanding context. I am very glad that it has worked for you - would appear that, with this particular issue, there is more than one way to resolve.

I had the exact same problem as above. The comments helped. I logged out of my iTunes account; shut my phone off; on any apps that were still “loading” prioritized the download and it was fully loaded in 10 minutes! Thank You for great recommendations!

Pausing every app download and then unpausing one at a time worked.

Hugely frustrating. In the end reset all network settings and now slowly installing.

Don’t panic!!! All you have to do is go to App Store and then sign in with your Apple ID then after signing in and add whatever information it ask for. That’s all you have to do!

Try making sure your auto app download is turned on. Settings, Apps, Auto download. The rest of the suggestions will not work otherwise.

I tried all of the same things. What did you end up getting to work? Logged in and out of App Store several times, did a full back up from iCloud again, powered on and off. Most of the apps are half loaded. Everything transferred just fine, including lots of photos. Trying to figure out what to do next.
