My MacBook Pro so t restore to factory using command,option,p,r

I’m trying to restore my MacBook Pro to factory settings so I can sell it. I looked online and it says use the option/command/R/P when I turn it in but that’s not working. I must be missing something.

That key combination only resets Parameter Ram (NVRAM).


So, that looks like step 5 in What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support.
