Duplicate contacts on iCloud and Apple devices
After the Big sur update my contacts have been duplicated now I can see duplicates on my iPhone MacBook Pro and iCloud.
can anyone help me to get rid of the duplicates

Actually, I managed to solve this problem in a few minutes by visiting https://www.icloud.com/settings/, scrolling down to "Advanced settings", clicking "Restore contacts" and then roll back to an older backup of my contact list (before the Big Sur update). Now all my duplicates are gone ☺️

I also have the same problem. When I opened up iCloud I realized that all my contact groups were duplicated as well. I removed the duplicates, but the duplicated contacts are still there. Gah.

I also have duplicates in a password app. It seems the update has duplicated databases, not just contacts. Any fix for this, Apple?

Same here. This is disappointing from the largest tech company on the planet. Managing contacts on electronic devices has been around since the 80’s. It’s nothing new.
