Are Apple's desktop photos from prior versions of MacOS available? If so, where? I want to continue to use Apple's professional photos from Yosemite as desktop wallpaper in OS updates.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We understand wanting to be able to use previous versions of an app. We'll explain.
Previous version of iPhoto or Photos would not be on the App Store, but you can still edit photos using the Photos app or another third-party photo editing app to use as desktop wallpaper:

Got it. Thanks for the clarification. There would be no way to provide those through the OS, but there might by images found through a search to be able to add them as an image: Change the desktop picture (background) on your Mac

Sorry for the confusion. I am not wanting to be able to use previous versions of an app.
I want to use the images of Yosemite that Apple previously offered as a wallpaper. Just the image files. Not an application.
