Why can't I make FaceTime calls from my IPhone 7 Plus?

My iPhone 7 won't make FaceTime calls. When I call people it says connecting for 5 seconds then connects but lags and responds slow then after 4 seconds the call fails every time and I cannot hear nothing from the other person and they can't hear me. I tried resetting my phone everything I could reset I reset, I took my SIM card out put it back in, Ieven turned Cellular data off for FaceTime and connected to WiFi nothing worked. Not only that my phone stops recording videos on apps half way through and also cannot make calls on other apps also. Its so bad that I can't even make cellular calls to my mom or anybody else.

Hey there BandUpFeygo,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having issues with your iPhone 7 when using FaceTime, Phone, and some video apps. We'd like to help.

You didn't mention it so we want to make sure that you're updated to the newest iOS. Prior to updating, creating a backup is recommended: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch Updates can help with issues like this so we ruling that out as the cause is a good start.

Then, we'd like you to check your iPhone's storage. Do you need to free up some space so you can save your videos when recording them: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Then, let us know how that goes. We'll continue to help after that!

Take care!
