How can I add my Google Voice phone number to my Apple ID to use with iMessage and FaceTime. I want to be able to save some family members texts by using iMessages with my Google Voice number, which is my only phone number at the moment, but when I added my number to my Apple ID, I can’t select it in the iMessages settings for starting new conversation and receiving messages. Can someone please help me?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, it appears you want to add a phone number provided by another source to iMessage/FaceTime. We'll explain.
The phone number that is added to FaceTime and iMessage is the one that is directly attached to the iPhone from a carrier. This would prevent other numbers that are distributed from outside sources from being added: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime

You can’t. However, you can send and receive SMS/MMS directly from your GV number.
