Cannot Mirror Screens to Apple TV after update to Big Sur

Just spoke to Apple Support - problem resolved by NVRAM refresh on MacBook Pro (I have a 2019 Pro)

Same here on MB pro 2017. One new and one old Apple TV have the same issue, I can see the TV name in the menu but it fails to connect. I can connect with sound though, but if I then try to connect the screens also the sound fails. All checks are OK (everything updated, same wifi etc).

I do not have Norton or any security running.

I have re-authorized my iMac. Still no good with Airplay Music.

Oddly enough, there is no issues when airplaying from my iMac with a screen share. lol wtf???

AirPlay to any device, apple or not (like my roku or samsung tv) does not work. plain and simple.

Ive restarted all the apple tv devices and the homepod. no good. same with non-apple devices that are capable of airplay streaming.

APPLE NEEDS TO FIX THIS NOW.

Same problem. Apple is silent on this issue.

Works fine from my up to date iphone 11 and ipad devices. just iMac Big Sur 11.1

I had this problem too, but suddenly it works again, without any intermittent upgrades as far as i know.
