Upgrade - iPhone 8 to a 12

Can I obtain an unlocked iPhone 12 as required by Consumer Cellular. I need to take the SIM card out of the 8 and place it in the new 12.

Yes. All iPhones bought directly from Apple are unlocked except if you choose to pay for it using AT&T's Installment plan. Then it will be locked to AT&T. Choose the "Sim Free" model if you don't need a sim card from one of the 3 major carriers to be included.
