Phantom device(s) on Device List

A couple months ago, I was seeing a phantom device listed as connected to my apple id. The name of the device is the name of my windows PC but on icloud.com it lists a device as an iPhone. When I open find my iPhone, no iPhone is listed under my devices. I don't use an iPhone. When I look at my device list from my iPad, the iPad says there are two windows devices that are connected to my apple id. No iPhone.

When I previously talked to Apple Support, they said it was probably because I connected my iPad to my PC and synced. But that never happened before when I used the PC iCloud client nor PC iTunes in the past.

When I looked at my device list again more recently, the phantom iPhone named identical to my windows PC is no longer listed under my devices on iCloud and the double Windows device under my iPad settings is no longer there. What happened?

Windows, Windows 10
